Shipping in INNERGY — Office vs. Kiosk Overview

Overview of the Office Shipping page's hybrid layout, side panel, inline quick actions, scan-first workflow, and a full comparison of what you can do in the Kiosk vs. Office app.

***Note: We are working toward moving all shipping features from KIOSK to the Office and will disable the KIOSK in the future.

INNERGY's Shipping tools are available in both the Office app and the Kiosk, each designed for a different part of your workflow. This article covers how the Office Shipping page is laid out, what you can do in each environment, and how scanning works on the shop floor.

Office Shipping Page — Hybrid Layout

The Shipping page in the Office app uses a split layout combining a Shipment Grid and a Side Panel:

  • Shipment Grid on the left — browse all shipments with inline quick actions on every row

  • Side Panel on the right — collapsed by default; click any shipment name to open it with full details and actions

Inline Quick Actions

Each row in the Shipment Grid includes two quick actions you can use without opening the side panel:

  • Status — an editable dropdown to set the shipment status: Not Started, Loading, Loaded, or Shipped

  • Load / Unload — loads or unloads the next available item using the current One or All mode

Side Panel — Shipment Details and Actions

Clicking a shipment name opens the side panel, which displays:

  • Header: Shipment Name, Project Name, Status

  • Editable fields: Shipment Name, Project Manager, Ship Date, Delivery Date, Carrier, Status, Ship To, Note

  • Shipment items table with columns: Name, SKU, Qty, Qty Loaded, Qty Completed, UoM, Bin, Completion %, Status, Pallet, Building

Available actions from the panel:

  • Load / Unload

  • Add Items to Shipment

  • Add to Pallet

  • Add to New Pallet

  • Remove from Pallet

Adaptable Panel

The side panel is designed to fit your workflow without getting in the way:

  • Resizable — drag the handle to adjust the panel width; your size preference is remembered for the session

  • Collapsible — collapse the panel to a narrow strip to give the grid full width; clicking any row expands it again

  • Full-screen mode — maximize the panel to fill the viewport; use the Back to Grid button to return to the split layout

Scan-First Workflow

A dedicated scan input field stays auto-focused at all times on the Shipping page, making it easy to work through shipments without using a mouse.

What You Can Scan

Scanning matches against:

  • Shipment Item SKU

  • Work Order Number

  • Shipment Name

  • Pallet Name

What Happens on a Match

  • The shipment is selected and the matching item is highlighted

  • Load One executes automatically — no extra click needed

  • If the item is already fully loaded, a non-blocking warning appears and focus returns to the scan field

  • If multiple matches exist, a selection dropdown appears so you can choose the correct item

Configuring Scan Mode

The default scan action is configurable in Scan Mode settings. Options include:

  • Load One — loads a single item on scan (default)

  • Load All — loads all items in the shipment on scan

  • Select Only — selects the shipment and highlights the item without loading

Kiosk vs. Office App — What You Can Do

Both the Kiosk and the Office app support shipping tasks, but each is optimized for a different role. Use the table below to see where each task is available.
