If you need to get the ESD connected to MV's Data, please go to the following KB article for guidance in getting connected.
MV x ESD: Getting Connected
ESD Setup:
Open the ESD from the Windows Start Menu.
Once it loads and the MV Work Order Section Loads close that window out.
At the Bottom left of the main window select "Configure".
Find the section called "Part Barcode Format"
In this section you can either use the Drop down to select the token and insert it or coply the text string below.
{Part.LinkIDPart}{Part.CabNo}
The {Part.LinkIDPart} is the Parts LinkID in MV and is a unique string to the part.
The {Part.CabNo} is the Products LinkID in MV and is a unique string to the product.
You want to have the External Barcode be unique as possible so INNERGY knows how to handle it in Part Tracking or Sorting. This Barcode can also be used to open the shipment item popup in the Kiosk.
Select save at the bottom right and then select a work order and sync over to INNERGY's Web UI of the Engineering Sync.
To check if the data is pulled in once you sync you will need to check the parts list of the products. Just to the right of the Grid Row Selection Box you'll find a Carpet to expand the Imported Shipment Item to see its Parts, Non-nested Parts, and Subassemblies.
Once you Place the Shipment items on the Work Order in INNERGY you will be able to scan the external barcode from the MV label we are about to go and place.
Microvellum Setup:
Load up your instance of MV and in the MV Panel select Toolbox Setup > Design Reports > Design Placed Part Label Report
At the bottom of the Microvellum Reporting Window select New Report From Existing
On the window that Opens Select the Label type you use. In this example well be using the "4x3 Part Label RollFeed".
When the Report Setup opens Change the Name to include QR or a defining Word to know this is the one with the New QR or Barcode.
Under Database Type select Microvellum Work Order then select Ok at the bottom.
After it loads at the bottom row of buttons select "Designer…" to open the Editor for the Labels
When you get into the designer add a QR code field and select the pencil on the popup window to modify the underlying text.
In the Text Editor replace the Temporary Text with the following string.
Click Ok then Ok again to add save the change to the QR field.
At the top left select the save Icon then close the Designer out.
Then Close out of the Microvellum Reporting window.
In this example I am going to use an existing MV Work Order but you could create a new one as well.
Once you have Optimized the parts in the Processing Center at the top select Labels > Current Part Label > [New Label Name]
Replace [New Label Name] with the actual name you used from the previous steps.
Now go and preview the saw or nest patterns and preview a part label to see the new QR code to be printed on the label.
