Updated over 2 weeks ago

Requirements:

  1. SQL Server Management Studio installed. Click to Download SSMS

    1. SSMS 22 will be used in this example.

  2. Workstation running CV24 or CV25

Finding Connection Name:

  1. Open SQL Server Management Studio 22

  2. On the connection screen use "(LocalDB)\CV25" in the Server Name

  3. Set the Authentication to Windows Authentication

  4. Select Connect and then you should see on the left side of the screen a list folders

  5. Expand the that says Databases and you will see list of database tables.

  6. The one we need to find is the one that ends in "report.mdf."

    1. It will usually start with "CV-C:\" and the end will have the "report.mdf" at the end. My example does don’t have the "CV-C:\" as it was created by hand and not CV.

  7. Right Click on the one ending in "report.mdf" and select properties

  8. Copy the entire name field.

  9. Open the Engineering Sync Desktop App and select Configure.

  10. In the configure window select the checkbox for "Custom DB Name" and a text entry will appear

  11. Paste the name you copied from the field in SSMS

  12. Select Save at the bottom right and you should be connected in.

Testing Connection:

  1. Open CV and create a new Job.

  2. Draw a 96" wall and add an Upper and a Lower

  3. Go to the Report Tab and select "Post To INNERGY"

    1. If this button is missing in your CV instances. Close CV and Open the ESD back up select config and the select the "Configure CV" button. Repeat Testing Connection steps and skip this.

  4. The ESD will automatically open and you should see your Project Name with a shipment item count of 2.

  5. If you get any errors screenshot them and send to [email protected]
