Logging Labor Hours (Change Labor Plan) in Site Manager

Step-by-step guide to setting a Work Order's estimated hours and Labor Item using the Change Labor Plan action.

Change Labor Plan

Use Change Labor Plan to set the estimated total hours on an existing Work Order and choose the Labor Item those hours run against. This is separate from the Work Order creation wizard, where hours aren't finalized.

Where to Find It

Open a Work Order's details screen and select Change Labor Plan from the Actions menu. You'll need the Change Labor Plan permission, or Supervisor access, to see this option.

Steps

  1. From Work Order Details, tap Change Labor Plan.

  2. In the New Hours dialog, enter the Estimated Total Hours and confirm.

  3. On the Labor Item screen that opens next, select the matching Labor Item and confirm.

Both steps are required to save. Canceling the hours prompt or the Labor Item picker cancels the whole action, so nothing is saved until you complete both.

Good to Know

Entering new hours replaces the Work Order's current labor plan; it doesn't add a separate entry alongside the old one. Run Change Labor Plan again any time to update the total hours and reassign the Labor Item. This action applies to one Work Order at a time. Like other Work Order actions, changes queue offline and sync once the device reconnects.
