Plan annotations are the dimensions, notes, and shapes you add to the top-down (floor plan) view of a model space.
Good to know: Plan annotations live on the model space, so they stay with it and appear wherever that plan view is shown. |
Annotate a plan
1. Open the model space — it opens in Plan view.
2. In the Tools panel, set Context to Annotations.
3. Pick a Draw tool such as Dimension or Polyline.
4. Draw on the plan.
Edit and arrange
Right-click a selected annotation for Delete, reorder options (Bring to Front / Send to Back), Copy / Paste, node editing (Add node / Delete node), and Save to Library.
Import or export to CAD
Use the Data Exchange menu to Export Annotations to CAD (DWG or DXF) or Import Annotations from CAD. Both work on the current selection.
Quick checklist
• Open the model space and set Context to Annotations.
• Draw dimensions, notes, and shapes on the plan.
